Tony Cribb loves the word ‘random’. It’s a mutual friendship - as evident in most of his paintings. Some works are loaded with meaning, others have none at all. His passion is for creating artworks that evoke a response from the viewer.

Tin Man is one such creation who has starred in many adventures with themes ranging from the serious to the completely ludicrous. He has contemplated life in all its complexities and is proving to be much more than a rustic orange character - he has become a friend to many.

Karyn McDonald is a map designer and lives on Waiheke Island, New Zealand

She studied Spatial Information Studies at Otago University and has worked for over 10 years as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst in New Zealand as well as in London and Melbourne.

After returning from overseas and starting a family, Karyn wanted to find a more flexible work and lifestyle balance and so started creating map art using GIS technologies to create visually appealing and modern maps.

Realising that other people shared her appreciation of the functional aesthetic of maps as artworks in themselves, Karyn has been inspired to pursue a contemporary approach to the art of map design.

Ellen Giggenbach was born in Bavaria, Germany. She now lives in the seaside village of Eastbourne in New Zealand with her husband and two young boys. After studying Graphic Art in Vienna for 2 years, she went on to receive a New Zealand Diploma with Distinction in Design. Her art works are inspired by traditional European folk art, her unique natural environment and love of the distinctive colours and forms of mid century illustration and design. Each piece starts its life as an idea only. Piece by piece it grows like a puzzle till even one more element would upset a carefully crafted balance of shape and colour. Ellen’s art works are unashamedly decorative, designed to be pleasing to the eye. Vibrant yet sophisticated, intuitive yet precise.
