These beautiful leather soled charcoal felt slippers are handmade in Nepal from New Zealand wool. Please note that as these are handmade they may have a slight variation with sizing, however being felt they do mould to the foot beautifully.
ACP has been helping to revive felting, a traditional craft in Nepal. Felting is a simple process of bonding wool fibres together using motion and heat and water. The wool is first dyed, with AZO free dyes, then the slippers are felted on a mould and the leather sole is stitched on. Handcrafted by skilled artisans working with Association for Craft Producers (ACP), one of our fair trade partners in Nepal. ACP’s felt producers are women living on the outskirts of the Kathmandu valley.
