Block printing has long been a mode of decoration in Indian textiles but with mechanisation of print it is sadly in decline. It takes four years to become an expert in block printing; in many cases it is a skill handed down through the generations. This pillowslip is block printed by skilled artisans working with Aspiration International, one of Trade Aid's fair trade partners in India.
